My name is Hadi Nur. My specialty is in advanced materials and heterogeneous catalysis. My undergraduate and graduate studies field was chemistry and materials engineering at the Institut Teknologi Bandung. I obtained my B.Sc. and M.Eng. (cum laude) degrees in 1992 and 1995. Shortly after that, I continued my postgraduate studies in zeolite chemistry at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), as I received my Ph.D. degree in 1998. My postdoctoral studies started with a year as a UTM Postdoctoral Fellow and two years as a Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellow at Catalysis Research Center (CRC) Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. I continued as a Center of Excellence (COE) Visiting Researcher at CRC for half a year. In May 2002, I joined the Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Studies, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. I was a visiting scientist at the Institute for Heterogeneous Materials Systems, Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin for Materials and Energy, Germany, from July to September 2015. From 2002 to 2022, I worked at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), starting as a research officer, lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate professor, and for more than 11 years as a full professor.
